Bless my little Clicquot, she got knocked down last night by a car outside the big house.... I was seconds away from her so managed to get her to the vet immediately. She has survived the night.... one of her front legs is paralysed but they hope it will be temporary, otherwise they will have to amputate it. I've just got back from my cuddle session... they want to keep her in tonight too.... Please once again can I ask for your prayers that she will get the use of her leg back!! I'm so sorry as all I seem to do is ask for your help but I don't know what else to do!!

Poor wee pussy, I hope she will recover soon, know how you must feel, I love my 2 cats they are my "babies" my tabby one is almost 16yr old now and I would be lost without him, he "talks" all the time (can be a right little pest sometimes!) the other one is a 6yr old ginger, he decided to find himself a new home when he was 6 months old, and picked this house, when he saw my son, he jumped into his arms and must have thought to himself, "right boy, you have found a pair of suckers here, I`ll get me feet under the table pronto!!" I thought the tbby would have pulverised him, he just hated any cat who dared come into HIS garden, but to our surprise, he accepted him! they are the best of pals now, and the young `un looks after the old boy now. I`ll be thinking of your Clicquot, (what an unusual name?) bless her, and pray that she will be well again soon.

Poor Clicquot - but lucky Cliquot that you were close by - I've been in your situation but was not lucky enough to be there on time. I'm sure she will get better and don't worry if she has to lose her leg as cats get on fine with three! I'm sending healing vibes for her. Let us know how Clicquot gets on. Maggie

Well she is back at the big house as of 6pm this evening.... got her on the way back from gaynor's.... she's alert but the leg is still paralysed so she is a bit wobbly... it's better than it was yesterday tho so it looks positive. She's being spoilt rotten... Hubby is letting me stay with her here tonight even tho he's not away.... so he isn't all bad!! :O) Thanks for all your kindness..... your prayers worked!! But can I have just a few more to make sure the leg really heals!! Me giggling now!! :O)

Hi Diana It was great to meet you at Gaynor's do today - you're exactly as I'd pictured you! Glad Clicquot is on the mend. Will divide my positive thoughts between her and Gaynor for a bit. Hope to see you at the Auction in March if not before. Carolyn

She is an ickle blighter..... she's quick even without the full use of one of her legs..... she's not supposed to jump up at things, so i bought everything into the lounge.... food, litter tray, the lot.... but no, i open the lounge door with a cuppa and she's out of it and up the stairs like a flash.... she's now hiding under a bed.... so I've taken everything up there now and put a stair gate up so she doesn't try and get down the stairs and hurt herself!! She's defo giving me the run around!! ;O)

Glenys the Menace! Report 16 Oct 2004 22:47

Sounds as if she's getting better! Chloe, Midge, Pepper, Sooty and Topsy all send purrs to her.

PinkDiana

PinkDiana Report 16 Oct 2004 22:57

She's defo alert but has been very docile when noises happen since she's been home... I'm hoping it's the drugs as normally she's much quicker on noises... deaf 3 legged cat she won't want to be!! :O)

Have you got some catnip? Don't know if that's too soon for her though. If any of our cats are a bit grouchy or not feeling well, that generally sends them into ecstacy.

PinkDiana Report 18 Oct 2004 10:42

Well, she had me worried yesterday.... she hadn't eaten a thing and was hiding under a bed.... but this morning she ate!! YEAY!! Back to the vet on Thursday but she used the bad leg to clean her face yesterday so things are hopeful, although still knuckling the paw!!
