HI In devon, Exmouth teignmouth and Dawlish on the south coast, also Goodrington Sands, on the north Coast you cannot beat Croyde Bay, In Cornwall Polzeath is lovely and also Looe, and in Dorset I love Weymouth and Sandbanks near Bournmouth, oop North Southport is lovely for shopping and finding coal on the beach and I also love Scarborough and Bridlington. Place to avoid include, blackpool rhyl newquay hastings Linda P

In defence of Hastings, (I don't live there but have visited often) The powers that be have had a clamp down in recent years and ordered people to tidyup/ renovate their property. It is looking much better than it's earlier 'worn' appearance. Interesting old town and nearby country park help give variety to suit many people.

Favourite for me I guess is Bournemouth/Poole, I have relatives in the new forest so have been many times... gorgeous beach at Sandbanks. Apart from that, I thought Cornwall for lovely, fevourite spot was Perenporth. Best beach I've ever been on tho was Clearwater on the gulf coast of Florida, pure white sand, warm sea, dophin watching from a catamaran... remind me again why I'd ever want to holiday in this country ? lol
