Trish Report 18 Oct 2004 15:53

My daughter has one of these and she averages 14,000 steps a day - but the leaflet that comes with it told her she was in an at risk group!!¬ She's 5'7, size 12 - 14, and weighs about 8.5 to 9 stone.

I have just ordered one. Wasn't so sure about one of the terms and conditions though! "Be available for any publicity free of charge etc." I do walk a lot at work but not anywhere near as much as I did when nursing. Jacky

I ordered mine last week. Although I'm a school secretary, I'm hardly ever sat down, always seem to be on the go so it will be very interesting to see how many steps I take. Shelli, am concerned ... I too am larger than life, what has your sticky-out tummy got to do with the pedometer? Am v worried about where I have to put it lol :))))))

I am glad you all managed to order one. I just got an error message, something about 128 encryption.

AnninGlos Report 18 Oct 2004 17:30

The steps have to be measured for each indicidual that uses it, you can't set it and share it. Mine, I think, over estimates a bit but is fairly accurate. for me 10000 steps is five miles. Ann Glos
