Emma i suppose if we watched it now we would giggle, compared to some of the horror films of today it was quite mild.

Sophies Choice upset me too. There was also a film I saw recently but I don't think it is a new one. I can't remember what it was called but it was about a guy who was involved in a white supremacy group. He went to prison for killing a couple of black guys and when he came out he had changed his opinion. His younger brother was going the same way so he tried to change him but the brother ended up being shot by some young lad. It was pretty shocking. Mel

Schindlers List, definatly ( I know my spellings dreadful) If I saw it again it would haunt me for a couple of weeks afterwards. I've seen it three times already. What makes this type of film so emotional is that it happened, to real people. God Bless them. Jo.

I saw segments of "The Rock" on tv the other night so violent I could not watch it guns blasting everywhere. "The Passion of the Christ" I would see again, thought provoking.

I watched a TV movie a few years back with James Garner and Sally Ann Fields, it was based on a true story. He played a dr who was extremely sick and it was portraying her love and devotion for him as she nursed him. I only got halfway through and I was so upset by it that hubby had to turn it off!! I never got to find out how it finished and he still chuckles now about how upset I got. I would calm myself down and then start again. Julie

Glenys, I know my dislike of the film Deliverance had something to do with a violent scene and also the person who joins in with Duelling Banjos. I know there was a family or community of 'inbreds' and I know I always thought they were real people rather than made up and that spooked me. I have not seen the 2 films that most are mentioning, Schindlers list and Sophie's Choice and not sure if I will watch them now! Jacky :-)

Schindler's List I can watch, I suppose because despite everything he does save them and you see all their descendents at the end. My most disturbing is The Accused with Jodie Foster as a gang-rape victim with a history who is made into the guilty party. Have to leave the room if I see this come on. Maz. XX

Maz, agree about The Accused, it made me feel physically sick watching the rape scenes and i havent watched it since the first time.

I don't know if there's any film that I've seen that I could never watch again. Sophie's Choice,as I've mentioned a few times in the past is my All time favourite film. Great acting and very very real. One film I did find very disturbing was Jacob's Ladder but I would watch it again. Christine
