Can anyone advise me please. I bought some chilled breaded mushrooms with a garlic dip 2 days ago and put them in the freezer. When I got them out today and read the instructions I discovered that they are not suitable for freezing (incidentally, does this mean I can join the divvy club please?). Anyway, I left them to defrost and I think that the reason you shouldn't freeze them is because the dip has sort of seperated i.e. now looks like vinegar with bits in!! Is there anything that I can do with them (other than the dustbin please? Chrissie |

Do you know anyone with a dog? I don't think they'd do any harm - like you say, they're probably unsuitable for freezing because of the dip, not because they've been frozen previously. But I don't suppose they'd taste that brilliant! If that takes you into the Divvy Club, then I should apply for membership because I've done stuff like that plenty of times! Mandy :) |

Hiya Chrissie - just done the same with Morrison Crispy Cod - uh - divvie, didnt read instructions and it says not suitable for freezing - well, I can tell you it tasted alright (of course didnt tell hubbie - he's funny about things like salmonella!) cannot imagine why! If you dont hear from me tomorrow, then I would think that Morrison's were correct! lol Give the dip a bit of a stir, it should be ok - and then dim the lights and light the candles - nothing looks nicer than by candle light! Jacqui - welcome to the divvy club! |

Thanks Mandy - how do I apply? I seem to remember ages ago that Jacui said that something I had done qualified me then. I do so many silly things that I can't remember what it was but Hubby would be able to fill you in on dozens!!:))))) |

Chrissie, It probably said not to freeze because the mushrooms will be a little soggy and not the same texture. Mushrooms don't freeze well. That's all. I think it is safe to eat. Crista |

Wisest decision is to dump it and if you have time buy a new lot. Alternatively you could make your own dip. |

Would do Chrissie but keep losing the plot as I spot the sights! Jacqu ps - there will be a bit soon about a f.directors (they did ask to use our place, but unfortunately they used a competitors - Baguleys Mansfield Road - even though the story line was written about the place I work!) |

Well if you see little things like small peppercorns crawling that's them. By the way 'make your own' is not swearing, I was just making a rather nice suggestion as some people have in the pantry french onion soup and a tin of ???? The name escapes me. These two ingredients are mixed together and behold a fantastic dip! |

Dont weevels wobble but they dont fall down??? Chrissie - the other f/directors had more space - probably because they dont do as many as we do!! Actually the guy from the Beeb was very nice and I had visions of me being on the telly (errr, perhaps that's why they chose the competition?). I'll tell you the plot and spoil the series shall I? well, the hero of the series is a big softie at heart, and sees a doggie who is about to be run down by a Corpo Bus (St Ann's No 54 - they dont ever stop unless at gun point!) well..................no, wont tell you any more - watch and enjoy!!
