So many to choose from. From the older generation Morgan Freeman, Dustin Hoffman, Gene Hackman - all can turn their hands to any role and make you really feel for the character. Of the newer crop - Jonny Depp - Gorgeous, doesn't go for the mainstream - plays some quirky characters and again can turn his hand to anything. Kxx |

sorry,but i think the brits are best...anthony hopkins...sean connery...michael caine...and a guy,i met when he got injured,in a charity football match..ray winstone,i think he has lots to offer,and the best is to come. bryan. |

The thing about Michael Caine is that he just works non stop - for every good film he's made, he's made 12 bad ones - he freely admits this. Good actor all the same. For me, of the hollywood stars, I'd have to go with Johnny Depp. He has a knack of playing quirky characters but making them believable. |

Morgan Freeman and Tim Robbins, loved them both in the Shawshank Redemption and dare i say Brad Pitt? I know he's not the best actor in the world but i absolutely loved him in Meet Joe Black. |

I have a few that I would say are amongst the best. Dustin Hoffman is a great character actor. Al Pacino, Robert De Niro, James Woods and Kevin Spacey are great too, but one of my favourites who I think is well under-rated is Peter Strauss from Richman Poorman fame. Seen him in quite a few movies and can't understand why he didn't make it bigger. And for British actors my favourite is Robert Carlisle. Christine |

Dustin Hoffman was great in Rainman. I also think Tom Hanks is brilliant and Nicholas Cage. Aiden Quinn is gorgeous. He was in Practical Magic over the weekend. Yummy! Mel |

Tom Hanks.............. with the exception of maybe "Volcano" and "Big" which were a bit dodgy in the early years, I love all his films ........."You've Got Mail" ...... "Philadelphia" ....
