of my pig of a boyfriend!I have been with for 2 and half yearsand we havent been right for a good few months now. The past two weekends he has been a nightmare! Even on my birthday the other week he was nasty to me, i just dont understand why? He wouldnt leave me alone last night until he made me cry and once he had done that, he then called me a child for being so upset, then 5 minutes later got upset himself and wouldnt stop saying sorry...i just dont get it! xxxx |

Hi Steedie Please don't be offended - but why do you put up with it and stay with him ? You deserve better than this treatment. Chrissie |

I know it is hard to leave someone that you are happy with when they are being nice but Carol is right, life can be miserable when you are walking on eggshells waiting for the next bad mood. Unfortunately, people like this very rarely change and revel in making those around them just as miserable. Chrissie |

Steph... have already said my piece to you privately, but you can see everyone else seems to agree. You're worth more than that, you shouldn't put up with it. Paul xx |

Steedie - it could be that your boyfriend is insecure and, in some way, feels unworthy. His nastiness may be a way of 'testing' or 'pushing' you to see how much you'll take. When you naturally get upset, he is then guilt-ridden. I may be completely wrong, and am in no way excusing his behaviour, but I feel that if he was a truly 'nasty' guy you'd have dumped him already. I would challenge him about his behaviour, but make clear you find it unacceptable. Hope things work out for the best. Sheila x |

It really does sound like he's got emotional problems, and at 21 is probably too immature to deal with them. Things may never be diferent but try giving him an emotional "kick up the arse". Tell him to stop taking things out on you or else. Trouble is you,ve got to mean it. Craig |

Totally know how you feel honey! Have the same situation with my boyf and I think (not being sexist or ageist!) that it's probably he's age, boys in general are less mature at our age. My boyf has just turned 20 and has no idea how to be in a relationship half of the time (even though we've together for 2 years). You have a choice, hold on and wait for him to grow up (and put up with behaviour like his) or get rid of him! I'm still waiting for my man to emerge from the boy... becx |

He's probably testing you and doesn't realise just how much it hurts you. Does he have confidence issues in general? |
