I agree - I want to see them sweating over a 'hot' computer sorting out numerous records on the IGI - or in cold Churches pouring over Parish records - they all seem satisfied if they get back to c 1850s

I agree with Frances, I found this episode boring, it started off ok but in my opinion went a bit downhill.

Sorry, I thought it was really boring and almost fell asleep! Jeremy Clarkson seemed more interested in the kilner jars than the people involved. I suppose everyone has their own reasons for doing research into their family history, but I question his real motives. Sorry to be negative, but I have not found this programme to be quite what I had hoped for. Frances

www.nationalarchives.gov.uk you will find the site is quite busy after that show as everybody want to suddenly use it.

At the end they mentioned national archives on line .....to look for wills. Can anybody tell me the site. I've put in National Archives and nothing came up. Sue xx

what did you think of the show? i thought once a again it was a great story, they did a great job on the research to kind of bring the story to life. too bad that jeremy clarkson was in it, the guy is in my opinion a prat. lol
