Mother's side: Kent, Sussex, Yorkshire, Lancashire, Derbyshire. Father's side: Northants, Hampshire, Dorset, Wiltshire, Leicestershire, Essex. A great many labourers some of whom moved from Southern counties to Southampton, and others who moved from Kent to Yorkshire and then Salford Lancs. and worked on the railways or in the mills.
