Postie, We here in the States are asking the same questions and many others. Our election process is still a mystery to many voters. There is the popular vote and the electorial vote. It's the latter that determins the winner. Most of us don't understand why or how but it just does. Rose

YES - Please learn the difference to the Canadian and American accent! A Canadian can be identified by the phrase "eh" after most sentences! On my visits back home to England with my now Canadian accent, people automaticly think that I am an American. I was in a pub with my Nan, when the bartender asked me where I was from. I answered "Liverpool" turned around and walked away! Once people know that you are from Canada the "Welcome" mat is put out.

To Rosemary on the Island: I am not sure exactly what you are referring to regarding qualifying the city location but I thought I would add that there are many States that have towns or cities named Paris or London. Lots of States have cities and towns named Dublin also. From Rosemary in the States
