No I feel the same Paul, it's to commercialised now. Christmas is'nt about money, it's about families and love. It's not the same as it used to be. Peoples values are different, and that's sad. Jo.

I hate the run up to christmas, I work in a large high street store, and it's gone crazy already, by the time christmas arrives I am sick of it.

I LOVE CHRISTMAS- BUT THEN I'M A BIG KID. But I do agree that commercially it seems to appear earlier and earlier every year. I will not order from the Charity Catalogues as I did everything from them last year, trying to do my bit.I placed my orders in OCTOBER when the catalogues arrived.I was still waiting for some of my gifts to turn up in Christmas week.If I had had to post things then they would not have arrived. So local shops this year.Got the grandchildrens' aleady and Immins, but it will be a bit last minute for some as so much else is going on at the moment

I'm looking forward to it, this time but I agree that all the expectation/palava comes far too soon.

I love Christmas but I agree with you Paul, it shouldn't start in July! Part of the atmosphere for me is the bustle of the two or three weeks leading up to Christmas. It's been spoiled with excessive commercialism. I don't want to hear carols in October thank you! Of course - you know what we've got coming next now that Christmas is in sight ? - yep! adverts for summer holidays ! Magsx

Hi Paul, No it is not just you, I am fed up with it already it seems to have lost all the meaning of it somehow so much fuss for a day and such a lot of expense...........for what ?

The only thing I've done for Christmas is start to write out some cards. That apart, I don't think anything else should be done before 1st December. Glenys.
