On another occasion, my daughter had an altercation with some man for a parking spot. He started shouting and gesticulating and making very rude comments about women drivers through his open window. She gets out of the car, all 5'4" of her. He gets out, burly and agressive, to sort this 'girly' once and for all but before he can say a word she strides over and screams at him : 'WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM ? I'VE HAD A LONG AND ******* AWFUL DAY, I'M TIRED AND I'M RATTY AND YOU ARE GETTING RIGHT UP MY ******** NOSE!' He moved. Magsx

After reading this thread and what you all say,I think its best to keep you cool, after all, if they want to spend time in "Intensive Care" let them, I just sit back and laugh at them, nine times out of ten they only get a few yards in front then the traffic lights change and they have to stop.I content myself with Knowing that if push comes to shove, theres not much on the road that can go faster than me, I occasionly have a "Red Mist" moment and leave them in the distance. Happy Driving everybody, Hal.

To all of you I can relate to what you have had to put up with, one day I was driving down the road bt me and a cop car came up behind me so I did the right thing and kept to the speed limit, the coppers wern't happy the driver started flashing me to speed up, wel his blues and two's wern't going so no way was I gonna risk getting done for speeding they had to sit behind me for about 1/4 mile before they could safly over take....how about that for trying to pull rank. :) Bev

I think that me and my car become invisible as soon as I get in it. Twice this morning I had to hit the breaks because some idiot just pulled out right in front of me. I know my car is green with lots of mud brown areas but didn't think it was that well camouflaged - thought the lights may have given them a little clue! Oh well, Kxx

McAnne's Gahan-Crazy

McAnne's Gahan-Crazy Report 24 Nov 2004 18:32

Hi All and particularly Bob! Well what can I say? A whole day of incident free driving :O Do you think perhaps they're all keeping their distance from me now LOL..... The ones that really annoy are the ones I meet coming out of work - I have to drive up a very steep hill which has a junction at the top controlled by traffic lights - it's 3rd gear only jobbie for my little 1200cc engine. Now I always thought that traffic coming UP HILL has priority, especially on a steep beast like this one with parked cars on either side - but will they give way? NO!! They insist on trying to push their way down, forcing you over so you lose any momentum you had. So, I just stick my headlights on and drive right up the middle :P Can't wait for tomorrows journeys LOL ;P

Winter Drawers Ever Near

Winter Drawers Ever Near Report 24 Nov 2004 18:43

The most disgusting and revolting thing has happened to me this afternoon. Because I gave way to on coming traffic in a narrow street, the yob in the silver car behind me drew along side when they had passed and the language was disgusting. What really incensed me was not content with speaking to a woman like that, he turned down the electric window on the passenger door of his car and SPAT, yes SPAT all over my window. There was absolutely no reason for him to do that. I hadn't done anything wrong, I was just being courteous and sensible to other road users. Well I've got his registration number and make of car, and his photo on my mobile. If he lives in the area, he'd better move house. This pond life's card is marked.

Blimey you've hit a nerve or two here - my rage starts with drivers who...... - don't use their indicators at junctions or roundabouts - still use mobiles at 70mph whilst overtaking me, in the fog - tailgate at high speed and don't overtake when they can My most scary moment recently happened on the M1 - I was just driving through a stretch where the speed limit had been dropped to 40mph because of congestion and then got to the electronic sign that showed 60mph - my old car obviously took a nanosecond too long to get up to speed (we were going up hill too) for the lorry behind me, so he started flashing and driving closer towards me (b***** maniac.) I couldn't change lanes because it was busy so he forced me onto the hard shoulder and I have no idea why! I was just so glad I was in the inside lane. I tend to stay there now as this has made me very nervous. Saz
