Hi Chrissie, My Smith/Spencer were easy to find it was my in-laws :-). Who are you looking for ? I have the NFHS marriage transcripts and could have a look for you. Steve.

No Louise - I spoke to an elderly lady. I'm afraid I didn't notice her name. Chrissie x

Thanks very much Steven - that's very sweet of you. Unfortunately, I only wish I could go back that far:)) To begin with I have to find a marriage SMITH/SPENCER!!! See my problem??? Which doesn't seem to be anywhere. So I was advised today at the Family History fair to try looking on Electoral Registers for 1919 when women over 18 could vote. If I ever crack this monster problem I may take you up on your kind offer. Thanks again - Chrissie

Hi Chrissie, I don't know what time period you are searching but i do have several on discs " Nottingham Poll Books" 1846, 1848/9, 1849/50, 1851 and North Nottingham registers of voters 1885. If you want me to have a look for you just send me a message. Steve.

Hiya Jacqui Sorry you couldn't make it but pleased that you "enjoyed?" your day:))) I was going to e-mail you to ask if you have ever been to the Nottingham Archives office and is it easy to know what to do? Yes, it would be great to meet up sometime. Thanks for the birthday wishes (4th) but I am beginning to wish I hadn't mentioned it. As I mentioned previously, after 30 they are probably best forgotten LOL:)) Love Chrissie x

Hiya Chrissie - would have loved to go to the Family History Fair but had great-aunt duties - taken 9 year old great neice to Christmas Xcess at the Ice Stadium - 4 hours of the likes of McFly, etc etc - must remember to put that down in great-neice's family history "A great aunt who devoted herself to me unstintingly (and who became absolutely deaf for at least 5 hours afterwards!)" Glad you had a good day - we must meet up one day when we both have a free one! Jacqui Etches ps Happy Birthday for whenever

Alan Don't worry Alan, once you get past 30 I think you are quite happy for birthdays to slip past unnoticed - unless of course you want to use it as an excuse to be taken out (like me today):)) Please would you let me know if they are available on disc. I can't wait to get looking and wouldn't have time to go into town before the new year. I don't know too much about the Smiths yet but I believe they were in Bulwell early 1900's Cheers - Chrissie

Yes Helen, we have both lived here all our lives. Been to goose fair most years since I was born. All my names were relatively easy to find but I wanted to go today to see if any of the experts could suggest where I should look next for the elusive Smiths. If I can ever be of any help with your Nottingham family please let me know. I am hoping in the new year to go to Nottinghamshire Archives office. Going today was MY birthday present to look for HUBBYS relatives LOL:))) Thanks for your interest. Chrissie x
