My new fishing rod for when I've had my hip replaced and can get down the cut again!

My hubby got me one of them things that go in the bath, to make lots of bubbles, bliss, and a cuddly toy dog that sings "my girl" sloppy but I love it, youngest son got a family prezzie with me in mind I think "Garfield the movie". we were all happy with our prezzies, I got hubby a new digital camara, and memory card, so that he can take loads of piccies, and we had a visit with my cousin whome I found on this site, and had not seen for approx 30 years........ Oh to be so spoilt. :))) Bev

A saphire stone which my son put onto a silver chain - the stone came from Sri Lanka and afriend made the chain. He bought the stone in August whilst on honeymoon in Sri Lanka. l will treasure this now even more than l would have done.l have never had a present like this before, it is absolutely beautiful. He took pencils and note pads out for the children -because out there it would have cost a weeks wage - he'll never know if they are still alive!!!! The next best present was a set of ceramic paints from my daughter - l have always wanted to paint on tiles and my paints would'nt work.My first picture will be a Stick Fisherman from Sri Lanka - you could see them fishing on the sea shore on tall sticks or stilts, an amazing sight - l wonder when that sight will be seen again!! I was really pleased with the brood of 10 chickens from my nephew and his wife.- Actually I just got the card telling me about them but Oxfam will give them to a needy family, who will then have eggs and more chicks to share with neighbours. I think it's a great idea. They 'bought' my Mum a goat with the same scheme.

kb - I got a Foot Spa too! - never thought I really wanted one - until now! Has yours got bubbles and all the pedicure attachments? - told my daughter that I would be 2 inches shorter if the pumice works properly! LOL Why do they make the cords so short though? - difficult to get it where I want to be without an extension lead BUT sloppy film, the remains of the Roses and a foot spa this afternoon - Bliss - so I ain't moaning! Magsxx

My best pressie was a book called "Egyptology" given to me by my grandkids. They know their grandad has a facination with Egypt, and the Pyramids. It is a book written on the exploration and accounts ( with diary) of Emily Sands 1926. Tony Oz

got to be my second love(to family tree stuff)got the me to you bears on the sleigh(aww)also got a few others,im mad about cuddly toys.My daughter also got me wooly and worth (the sheep and sheep dog from the woolworth adverts)they are cute. hope everyone got great prezzies and had a good xmas.xx

Apart from sorting everything out with my mum and sister I got Family Tree Maker 2005 Deluxe edition, a webcam and a box of Lucky Charms (the cereal that you cannot buy in England anymore!) I've had the best Christmas ever. I've got my mum back! becx

A Brand New Scanner (old one not XP compatible) - now I can send photos of rellies to the family contacts I have made. And a nice magnifiying glass for reading census images with - cos I kept pinching Dad's 'good one' lol.

I'm gonna deviate slightly here - the best present I ever got someone else was one I got for my other half, who is a really good artist. Thought I would sign him up for life drawing classes. Had an elderly lady at the local evening institute peering at me and saying " you do realise, this does involve a NUDE model?" "umm yes I think I had realised that!" and then going to parents evening at my sons school and being informed that the chap sitting opposite us was one of the Nude models! LOLOL! Lisa
