Well I am like a big, overgrown child and I think I've probably put this on nearly every thread lol! I had two pressies that were 'joint' best - a webcam and Family Tree Maker. Just started my own family tree website, I'm so excited! Hope everyone else got lovely things too, Mandy xx

I'm probably really sad but I got an ancestry sub and 4 certs on top of the usual stuff that us girlies get. I was actually VERY impressed that he'd searched for my notebook and found the list of 'Certs Needed' AND worked out how to order them from the local reg office! Lou

I can now view the 1851 London census returns in the comfort of my own home, and not surrounded by other genealogists in the FRC using noisy fiddly irritating microfilm machines. That is my best Xmas prezzie this year. My dad gave me £80 and with that I might buy the 1841 one.

I'm gonna deviate slightly here - the best present I ever got someone else was one I got for my other half, who is a really good artist. Thought I would sign him up for life drawing classes. Had an elderly lady at the local evening institute peering at me and saying " you do realise, this does involve a NUDE model?" "umm yes I think I had realised that!" and then going to parents evening at my sons school and being informed that the chap sitting opposite us was one of the Nude models! LOLOL! Lisa

A Brand New Scanner (old one not XP compatible) - now I can send photos of rellies to the family contacts I have made. And a nice magnifiying glass for reading census images with - cos I kept pinching Dad's 'good one' lol.

My best pressie was a book called "Egyptology" given to me by my grandkids. They know their grandad has a facination with Egypt, and the Pyramids. It is a book written on the exploration and accounts ( with diary) of Emily Sands 1926. Tony Oz
