I have CHOWNS [variants Chouns, Chowndes, Chounes, Chownes etc] from Oxfordshire/Bucks, SMOOTHY from Chelmsford Essex In 1858 a Mr Smoothy married Miss Chowns - they are my gt gt grandparents and it is their wedding recorded in the family bible that got me started on this genealogy lark in the first place. MEALING [variants Melin/Maling] from Gloucestershire, who married into the WILLIAMS family! nell |

Got couple of unusual surnames Boydon. 100 on here 15 of them are mine Byton. 32 on here 19 of them are mine. Deanley, only one on here. Gasher 4 on the entire site, and only 1 belongs to me. They seem to a lot easier to trace than the Walkers and Stephenson's in my tree. Gem:)) |

Much to my surprise, one of my tree names, EATHERTON, is unusual. There aren't that many on G.R., and most of them that are on it are from my tree. Any more out there? Happy New Year, Glenys. |
