In my time I have encountered many names and wondered how the parents could have been so cruel eg John surnamed Thomas, a Mr King whose forename was Joe but this week I discovered a relly on census who was called Willy Tingle. ROFLMAO Beth :) |

My uncle had John Thomas as his middle names. My aunt who worked as a nurse says she had a patient once called Jimmy Riddle. On a sweeter note, I once worked for a government office and came across two old ladies called Rose Bush and Pearl Button. nell |

My first boyfriend's surname was Soul. His brother was Richard! I was at school with 3 sisters - April, May and June and their surname was Day! Their brothers had 'normal' names though. Sue xx |

Two of my friends have the surname Day. Their first child was a daughter. The mother liked the name Esther. The dad wouldn't have it, as he thought Esther Day would sound too close to the title of a Beatle's song! |

One of my great great grandfathers, a Welshman, is John John. I have absolutely no idea if the family was using the convention of naming children after the first or surnames and so with a name like this am stumped as to where to go next!!!!! Angela |
