Talk about coincidence - was just this minute reading She's reply (big LOLs!) - and my mum is on the phone telling me that her little tits are out .... despite the wind having blown all their seed away. Mandy :)))

sorry - but I HAVE to add this one A rather buxom lady was having problems find a bra to fit. Now in Edinburgh at the time Frasers stores was known as BINNS. Her friend said - have you tried Binns?? whereupon the reply was - yes - but they clang when I run. sorry - its an oldie but a goodie. oh and when I was pregnant with my son - in the last century I worked there, and was going to get fitted for a new bra - I asked if my cup size had gone up only to be told CUP - CUP! more like a flippin MUG!

Hi Bec - I thought one of the people searching was you, but didn't like to put your name in the thread message LOL!! I'm not sure about 't shirt' bras, but I wear lowish tops and these lacy ones are fine, don't come up too far!! Trying having a look online first - although I'm fairly sure they had a much larger selection in the store than on the website. Linda - I will try to explain lol! Balcony bras are a slightly different shape, they are sort of straight across the top of the cups rather than 'triangle' shaped up to the straps. They also tend to act more like a 'shelf'. This isn't sounding good is it lol????? Viv - you are quite right - significant that the first two replies on this thread were from men (see Paul, I said I'd get you back for that pmsl). Mandy :))

Another good outfit for the bigger ladies (of which I'm one) is www(.)simplybe(.)co(.)uk - as usual remove brackets. Well worth a look. Pauline

LOL Jean! We have a little 'in joke' in our house about a programme that was on a few years ago called The Flint Street Nativity, in which Dervla Kirwan had the most wonderful Liverpool accent and kept saying 'I wanna be Maaaary'. Took bra out of washing machine, husband put it on like ear muffs and said 'I wanna be Maaaaary'.

I'd recommend Bravissimo (just type it into Google). Not only for bras but they also do shirts and Jackets properly fitted with no gaping buttons....also swimwear and strappy tops with the bra built in. All the top lingerie manufacturers are respresented in their catalogue, and they have a huge range of sizes. "Balconette" styles can be flattering to all figures - providing you get the RIGHT SIZE! Make sure you get the right cup and chest/back size (that is the measurement around your body underneath your breasts). Your bosom should be supported by the part of the bra that goes around your body (which should be a very snug fit) and not by the shoulder straps. Dee x 32E

Tempted to use an alias here! Do they only go up to G? And are they any smaller than 34? As a teenager, I was forced to take bras in by at least four inches under the arms in order to get a decent fit. Thank goodness those days are over! B

HAHA - they actually do the 'balcony' bras in the big sizes, but if I wore a balcony one, I'd end up with bruises under my chin, and I'd topple over like a weeble. Mandy :)
