Christine you spotted by clues 'whatever' and 'happened' - it was a curious film that I saw years ago and I think a remake was done recently.

Didnt know they had done a remake of it1 Bette Davis was great at playing more unusual parts, wasn't she?

Pat

Pat Report 17 Jan 2005 02:31

Christine Aileen was saying it has wine not whiskey so I asked the hubby (he works in wine) he says Whiskey sits better with the cream thats why Aileen cannot drink so much of the Irish knights as its the wine thingy??? all double dutch to me thank god for Stout, natural goodness

PennyDainty

PennyDainty Report 17 Jan 2005 02:33

John

John Report 17 Jan 2005 02:37

TV movie remake of "Whatever happened to baby Jane" starred the Redgrave sisters and John Glover wasn't very good. Bette Davis/Joan Crawford being the original was the best. Bye again. John

Pat

Pat Report 17 Jan 2005 02:39

Yeah and Bette Davis fought for those parts too she suffered many suspensions to get the parts she wanted and it didnt matter how she looked either? no dolly bird was Bette? A womens libber yes respect to her for that

Pat

Pat Report 17 Jan 2005 02:40

PennyDainty Report 17 Jan 2005 02:42

Pat Report 18 Jan 2005 00:02

OK I'll start then shall I? Hope there is someone still there after the slowdown of Genes!!! Anyway Henry Fonda and Bette Davis? Think they only appeared in one film together, may be wrong I aint checked cause I don't cheat LOL Pat x

John

John Report 18 Jan 2005 00:17

I agree Pat, I seem to remember seeing the Redgraves version and was not a patch on the original. Apparently when Bette Davis was casted in a role she would deliberately throw a hissy fit to see if the costume would stand up to abuse. Now your poser something back it the 1930's I say! John
