And is it really worth it? I'm new to this whole thing and considering a subscription to .co.uk but wondering if it's really worth it and if not, where else I could find the same information. It says you get "Records from England, Wales, the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands as well as a selection of records from Ireland and Scotland." What exactly are these records? When it says you get civil registration records, what exactly are these? Birth certs. etc?

unfortuately no certificates etc. you get access to the england& wales censuses from 1871-1901 which i find invaluable. Also BMD searches of index. I think its money well spent and I get to offer help to other people on this site! Sarah x

I'm just a bit wary as I know I'd forget to cancel the subscription if I didn't want it. lol And I have to convince my mum to hand over the credit card, which is the hard part!
