I only knew Peter Kay through the beer ads. I've not watched Phoenix Nights. Yesterday evening I caught the last 40 minutes of his show and it was hilarious. Like all good comedians he just presents real life to you and makes you see how ridiculous it is! For a slightly large man, he was very agile too. Loved the bit about the wedding, with the big kid running around arms out like a plane and then skidding on his knees - "come and sit down, you're all hot and sweaty - have some lemonade. SIT DOWN, YOU'RE THE BEST MAN!" nell

What about his "no nonsense" beer adverts, particularly when he is having the 50 year old put into a nursing home. sounds awful but very funny. Keep watching

What I liked about him as well, is that he seems really down to earth! Or that is the impression he gives anyway

the only criticism of tonite,is the massive audience were up for a singalong finale, and he did'nt read the situation. ive seen..freddie starr..ken dodd..jim davidson in concert, and they all did an encore, where they got the audience singing, and the crowd went bollistic. bryan.
