We were with our three year old grandson over the weekend and he said to his grandpa.''Press the sound up Grandpa'' indicating the button on the video controls. Now I would have said and still do say 'Turn the sound up'' Has anyone else noticed the change in colloquial language due to technology/ CURIOUS -Rose |

So do I-and I still dial a phone number which is press button.I suppose that stayed in use as to 'key in' a number is longer to say.I wonder how many there are. |

Recently, I asked my daughter to turn the 'tranny ' on. That's what we called transistor radio's when I was young. She explained that nowadays it's short fot transexual! Got that wrong then! Christine |
