Winter Drawers Ever Near

Winter Drawers Ever Near Report 17 Jan 2005 12:30

So what happened? A man returns home late one night. He gets into bed and turns off the light. The following morning when he awakes he reads the newspaper and kills himself.......

Is it a bird? is it a plane?

Correct Paul. He read the newspaper the following day and saw that a ship had been wrecked and people had lost their lives. So he killed himself. I've remembered some more of these. Do you want another one. Or does someone else fancy a go? Aileen

Ok you certainly are gluttons for punishment! If you need a clue just ask, otherwise it can get too long winded. A man lives on the 12th floor in a block of flats. Each morning he wakes up, gets dressed, has breakfast and goes to the lift. He takes it down to the ground floor, leaves and goes to work. In the evening he returns and assuming someone else is waiting by the lifts (or if it was raining that day) he takes the lift to the 12th floor. But if there isn't anyone waiting for the lift or its been a dry day, he gets off at the 10th floor and walks up the remaining two flights........ Why?

Correct Guinevere. It was a midget/dwarf. He can only reach as high as the 10th floor with his brolly and has to ask people to press the others for him.

What about the man who walks into a pub and asks for a drink. The barman pulls a gun out from under the counter and points it at him. The man says "Thank you" and leaves?
