I have looked at our firewall. and noticed that its blocked lots of...Computor has tried to ping your computer...What does ping(ed) mean.. From someone useless on Computers. Pat |

Pat, it is someone trying to get into your computer! Trying to ping your IP address is the first thing a hacker will do to see if he can get a response. If he can find your IP address he may be able to invade your computer, thankfully it seems your firewall is blocking access! |

It works at a lower level Arthur, most hackers will be using UNIX, not Windows and working at command line level. Ping has many more available options there. |
