My dear 'ol dad's 'baby' brother was EDWARD Alfred Quigley dob. 1921 My dad , didnt find out until the age of 19yrs , that he was only half related to the rest of the family,( 2more siblings.) He was shattered ! I am ' doing time' (on line) with GR . determened to find his Biological father. I'm taking pieces of the puzzle of names and dates that I DO know, slotting them together- so that the 'big hole' left in the middle will be easier to fill ! ? you reckon ???? naaa !!! Kathleen. x

My father's family contains an ALFRED Simey (born 1839), who was a shipbuilder/ship repairer in Sunderland. He lived at 8 Roker Terrace, Monkwearmouth Shore during the 1881 Census and was married to Edith. Their children were Maud E(b 1866), Constance L (b 1868), Edith Gray (b 1871) and ALFRED James Downes (b 1875).
