Hi Maz, Last but not... Great to meet some new faces as well as the "oldies"lol!! Lynda P we missed you! I nearly had a nasty accident on the way home with Val. I had bought a chart for putting the ancestors on, all rolled up in a cardboard tube, when as we changed Underground lines, the plastic end fell off and my chart began to slide out. Well, there I was scrabbling around for the plastic bit, dropped my ticket and felt a right wally...then almost hit someone with it as I turned round. The moral... Genealogy can damage your life!! Thanks for everything, we can always rely on you. Sue

It was really nice to put faces to names. Sorry I couldn’t actually join you for a chat, but thanks to everyone who came to say hello. We were made very welcome, despite coming from sarf of the river! I couldn’t believe how fast the day went. If it’s held next year, I must remember to wear thermals and thick socks, though! B

Hi Maz You must have thought 'who's the nutter?' My daughter said that I shouldn't have just gone up and hugged you like that! She said she was so embarrased that her Mum had gone up to a stranger like that. When you went to West Ham Cemetery ages ago and found that my 5Xg-granddad was buried there, I said if I ever saw you, I would give you a hug. Which is what I did! I met my 'cousin', it was as if we had known each other all our lives. We worked out it was our 9Xg-granddads who were brothers. We went to the East London Cemetery after, and found and photographed two graves that I hadn't seen before. Bought a couple of books on Plaistow and Canning Town for Mum's 70th birthday in March. I thoroughly enjoyed today. Sandra (from Aldershot)
