Who's had a root filling done before?

Andy, I've had several done over the years and ended up having to have all the teeth removed and replaced with 'posted' crowns some time later, although not all at once. I'm no coward with dentists, but root canal work can be painful and can last some time, depending if you've got an infected tooth and how long it takes to drain away the infection and/or treat it with antibiotics. That needs to be done before a new filling can be added. CB >|<

Sorry Andy but it hurts. Had one done years ago then about a year later the same tooth played up again so "outed" it. Malc

My sister - (a coward at the best of times) has just had a root filling started through a birdge! She's had the root drilled out and packed until next week when the filling goes in. She wasn't particularly bothered by the experience - the waiting was worse!! She also went back to work afterwards!! (I've got yellowish teeth, but no bridgework etc. only 4 fillings I had put in over 35 years ago!!) maggie
