Daisy - sounds like we're twins! How about: Parachute jump Publish your family history See Northern Lights Have breakfast, lunch and dinner in 3 different countries Swim with dolphins Have you done any of the above?

~♥ Daisy ♥~ Report 31 Jan 2005 12:26

Like all those ideas! Haven't done any of them. Would love to abseil down Table Mountain (my daughter did it backwards and forwards - wicked apparently). Write a novel - don't care if it's published. Keep them coming! Daisy

McAnne's Gahan-Crazy Report 31 Jan 2005 12:44

Hi Daisy........... Only 8 yrs and 4 months to go for me, but I think I have done pretty much all I wish to :O) Did a parachute jump about 14yrs ago - alone not tandem - NEVER AGAIN!! LOL It was a great experience but SO scary. Have abseiled too - been driven around the Daytona race track at 150 miles an hour - WOOHOO!!! Have swum in the Indian Ocean - sat in a rock pool with tropical fish. Have seen shooting stars in South Africa and watched a turtle laying her eggs. Only thing I havent achieved is to visit the Pyramids in Egypt. Other than that would love to swim with dolphins :O) Think I will settle for a quiet life now LOL Anne

Wow Anne. I'm impressed and yes I think you deserve a rest. Dolphins seems to be a recurring theme here and is definitely one to add to my list. Daisy

Haven't done swimming with dolphins, but have done swimming with sharks at 30m down! That was incredible. Bungy jumping (believe it or not) was also right up there. It is a really, really strange thing going completely against human nature to throw yourself off a ledge. Such a rush though. I have to pay extra to be strapped at the ankles (it was in the US), but as soon as I had done it, I went straight up to do it again.

Bec Report 31 Jan 2005 12:48

Well I'd say bungee jump but did it (tandem, at night, over the sea!) and it bloody hurt!! I want our business to be hugely successful before I'm 50! becx

McAnne's Gahan-Crazy Report 31 Jan 2005 12:50

LOL Daisy............ Not until I stopped to think about it, that I realised what adventures I 'have' had.........sort of took it all for granted until you made me think about it all. Just remembered I also climbed to the top of Mount Tiede on Tenerife (the volcano)........now that was hard work lol. From what I saw on TV the other day, swimming with Dolphins is not a cheap experience - on the Holiday Swap prog, it was something like £500!!!!! No wonder not many of us have done it eh? :P Anne

Eldest daughter did sky-diving and swimming with sharks but neither of us fancies bungee jumping. Terrified of my ankles being separated from the rest of me. Mind you the rush of blood to the head might be a bonus! Bec - would hope for success for you well before you're 30! In fact I might add "buying a property in Greece" to my list! Daisy

Too late for me,I'm already 65-but you said you are not ageist, thanks.I want a Harley.I have done a heck of a lot in my life and I suppose it is because of thet that I find a more static life very boring.I am just trying to hang on until next year when I plan to take Immin to NZ.My son is just off to Auz for a visit and I'm very tempted to go with him.-Rose

Bec - 0bviously from you! Doh! Rose - a Harley. Fantastic idea! Fred - diving sounds great, bet it was beautiful Deanna - abseiling and boats. Love it. Daughter didn't tell us about the sharks or the white water rafting until afterwards but she needed our written permission for the sky diving and abseiling. What we didn't know was that she found normal abseiling "tame" so opted for the rap jump - running forwards off Table Mountain to the sound of nearby tourists looking over the top and yelling "you're crazy". That's my girl!!! Keep em coming - this list is getting longer. Daisy

A wide range Andy, so all ideas welcome. Daisy

A couple of the things I've done in the past: Horse riding - did this for 10 years, which included horse trekking holidays. Archery - good fun, though the first time I pulled back on the bow string, I felt this searing pain shoot through my upper arm muscle. But after that it was fine.

~♥ Daisy ♥~ Report 31 Jan 2005 14:06

Andy - love the idea of horse trekking. Presumably you can do this anywhere so could incorporate it into your thread of places!! Never tried archery but it sounds more immediately do-able than some of the others! Daisy

Deanna, I'm grateful there is someone else in this world who confesses to not being a daredevil! I can feel the nausea rising the moment para gliding or bunjee jumping is mentioned. Its taken 60 years to get me into an aeroplane! One of my ambitions has been to visit Granada and I hope to do that shortly. Rosemary(Essex)
