Although very sad, far better for Amy to get herself well. <3

Lauren will take over, and very probably include Amy in any decisions.

I agree 100% Maddie :-). I hope we will see her in the Clauditorium on Saturdays :-) <3

I think it is just the foot injury apparently it happened in rehearsal and is this same foot that had an injury before but a different bone. She needs to make sure that is properly healed before she dances on it even though it is frustrating. wishing her well and a good recovery.

There was a rumour earlier this week that Johannes was leaving at the end of this series. He has confirmed this not to be true apparently.

However, he has hinted he will be joining the cast of Kinky Boots stage show. :-)

LondonBelle Report 10 Nov 2024 07:41

As you would expect the competition is well and truly heating up and is getting more and more difficult to choose a winner :-0

Tasha's Quickstep was, as you would expect, very good and she certainly covered the floor :-)

I was not sure about Shayne's Rumba :-0. It is a highly technical dance but I'm not a Rumba fan :-0. I didn't think it flowed as it should have done :-(

Sarah's American Smooth wasn't, I don't think, her best dance :-0 Yes, there were a lot of lifts but they were down to Vito's strength more than anything else :-). Mind you I wouldn't have liked to have been in her position :-D

Pete's Couples Choice was very emotional and at the end he was finding it difficult to keep it all together...his bottom lip was quivering <3. He has grown as a dancer as the competition has gone on and I thought this was his best dance :-)

JB really loved his Samba and it showed, by far his best dance to date :-)

Jamie's Argentine Tango was the disappointment of the night for me :-0. I love this dance but I'm afraid I thought he looked wooden and looked as though he was struggling with the lifts :-(. Such a shame as he was so looking forward to doing it :-(

Wynne's American Smooth was good and for someone of his statue he is light on his feet and managed the lifts with ease :-). He always puts a comical element into his dances and I'm looking forward to him doing the Charleston :-)

Montell's Paso was very strong and as the weeks have passed she certainly has become a more confident dancer :-)

Chris's Couples Choice, as his previous dances, never ceases to amaze me :-0. For a non-sighted person his timing is exceptional although I'm sure Dianne ensures she is in time with him but he has the musicality for her to do that :-). Also credit to Dianne to trust Chris with the lifts :-0. Well done to both of them :-)

The dances of the night for me were JB and Montell :-)

The two I think should be in the dance off are Shayne and Jamie :-(. It's a toss up which should go though :-0. The fate of all the dancers is now in the hands of the Public so anything could happen :-0

Well I think Belle covered all bases, but I will still have my twopennyworth. :-D

It is getting tighter and tighter to call :-0

Tasha and her Quickstep I thought was very snappy and they rushed around the floor. Great stuff.

Shane did his best with the Rumba, but it is very hard for the man as all the judges constantly remind us.

Sarah and her American Smooth hit all the spots again. I cannot say I know who she is, but she is constantly mentioning Miranda Hart :-S :-S

Pete was an emotional wreck at the end of his dance dedicated to his Nan. Apparently he is one of the few non dancers left, but he certainly has gone from 0 to 90 in the stakes.

JB was giving it his all with his Samba, and was likened to Danny Mac, he certainly enjoyed himself.

I also thought Jaimies Argentine Tango was a disappointment. Not enough gauchos for me. At one time I thought his partner was dancing around him.

Wynne with his American Smooth was quirky.

Montelle and Johannes was very dramatic, although why Johannes was wearing a skirt like outfit was a bit lost on me.

Chris, well what can one say about Chris? Never ceases to amaze and astound every week. How poignant too that he covered Diannes eyes and the stage went into blackout, akin to blindness, and then when the lights came back up again, he was spinning her around.

I think too it maybe Shane and Jaimie in the dance off, but then again, what do I know? :-D

LondonBelle Report 11 Nov 2024 07:25

I was surprised to see Wynne in the dance off :-0. Although saying that watching the two dances together I preferred Shayne :-0. It was a close shave for Wynne though :-0

LondonBelle

LondonBelle Report 11 Nov 2024 07:27

Maddie, Miranda Hart did a sitcom just called Miranda it ran for several series but must be a good 10 years ago if not more, Sarah was in that :-)

MotownGal

MotownGal Report 11 Nov 2024 07:59

Shame that Shayne got booted out, I always thought he was rather pleasant, and not a bad dancer.

I still think I know who will win. Male, with experience of dance ;-)

Not seen the sitcom Belle, not a fan of slapstick :-)

AnninGlos Report 11 Nov 2024 08:21

It was a close dance off but I guessed Shirley would choose Wynne. I thought they were both better in the dance off but really am not qualified to know when they make these 'little' mistakes. I was sorry to see Shane go though as I think he had genuinely improved from not knowing any dance to being quite good. Always a shame when they miss Blackpool too. Who is next. Maybe Wynne is not very popular with the public.

Annx

Annx Report 11 Nov 2024 09:40

I thought Shane was really unlucky to have had the Rumba on the week before Blackpool. It must feel awkward for men, as any exercise they do doesn't often involve the kind of movement and not many of them score high with that dance.

Is it me, or do there seem to be getting more and more lifts? Very brave, dramamtic and impressive, but being in the air means less footwork to do. It's becoming more gymnastic and you'd have had people's teeth out doing some of those at a local dance! :-D

JustGinnie

JustGinnie Report 11 Nov 2024 14:38

I was really sorry to see Shane in the dance off again . I wasn't a fan of Wynne's dance but it was good and the trick with the dress did make it stand out .
I did find it strange that Shirley chose Wynne because his dance was more joyous as Shane's dance was not meant to be joyous so the comparison was wrong imo.

Sarah seemed to spend more time in the air than dancing. I feel it's more about Vito than Sarah.

Montell and Tasha both did beautiful dances.
Pete was an emotional wreck but danced well.
Jamie was not as good as I expected.

Does anyone else think that there haven't been as many waltz's danced this year and what has happened to the Charleston ? Maybe they are keeping them for Blackpool.

LondonBelle

LondonBelle Report 11 Nov 2024 17:08

I agree about the lifts they are becoming a distraction from the dance :-0

I think there have been a couple of Viennese Waltzs early on ....I much prefer ballroom to latin especially when the man dresses in tails :-)

If I recall there has only been one Charleston and that was Sam again early on :-0

I wonder who gets to choose the dance each week :-0 Does the Pro dancer choose or are they told what dance to do? :-)

I have to say that I was surprised that Shirley picked Wynne too especially with her latin dance background and agree with JustGinnie that Shirley's choice of words could have been better as the Rumba isn't a joyous dance :-0

There seems to be a lot of noise online that Shirley has the deciding vote but they are the rules and always have been :-)

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 11 Nov 2024 17:15

Presumably she has the casting vote because she is the senior judge. She is asl expert in her field but sometimes I wonder if, being human, she does have her personal favourites. Must be hard to ignor that.

Blackpool tonight :-D

Cue lots of shots of dancers eating fish and chips in Kiss Me Quick hats. :-0 ;-)

LondonBelle

LondonBelle Report 17 Nov 2024 08:05

I enjoyed Blackpool, I like it when they introduce other dancers to the sequence :-). I thought they all did very well and made for a very entertaining night :-)

Chris's American Smooth was for me one of dances of the night :-). Each week I say I don't know how he does it but I don't :-D. He is just so light on his feet and is quite fearless and confident. Dianne, as always, needs a mention as a teacher and partner :-). Both are A-maa-zing :-D

Montell's Salsa was good but I don't think her best dance :-0. I know it's silly but I found her trainers a distraction from the dance :-0. I know they were part of the outfit but nevertheless they made her look as if she was plodding in them :-0

Sarah's Couples Choice I thought was very good :-). I like the Fosse style of dance and thought she carried it off very well :-D

Wynne's Charleston was different and not the traditional Charleston :-0. Some parts I thought were very clever but then others not so keen on :-0

Pete's Cha Cha Cha, well what can you say :-D. His pink trousers were just something else :-D. He has done well considering what he was like in Week 1 but he did have a lot of catching up to do and still has :-0

JB's Quickstep was good and he certainly covered the floor but from a wardrobe point of view I would have preferred him to be in tails :-)

Tasha's Paso was very strong and I rather enjoyed it, she wasn't out of place with the other dancers either :-)

Jamie's Jive was jam packed full of energy but in saying that it lacked something not sure what though :-0

Dances of the night for me were Chris, Sarah & Tasha :-D

I wasn't so keen on, in no particular order, Wynne, Pete and Jamie:-0. Not sure of Pete's fan base but feel he should be in the dance off together with Jamie.... with Pete to go :-0. As we know though it could be anyone in the dance off :-0 :-0

MotownGal

MotownGal Report 17 Nov 2024 08:10

No fish, no hats, but I got the chips right :-D :-D :-D

How great to see and hear the Pet Shop Boys last night, they may not look the same, but the singing was spot on. :-)
I am never in favour of the backing dancers, as I find it distracting, but that is a personal view.

Chris, once again never ceases to amaze me. What a wonderful relationship he has with Dianne. The American Smooth was light, and elegant, and fully deserved the 37 marks. <3

I felt that Montells' Salsa was a bit stilted to be honest, she could have let herself go a bit more like she did in her Couples Choice a few weeks back.

Sarah with her dance. I am glad Craig said it was Bob Fosse, because I was thinking that exact same thing when it started. A complete copy of a dance I had seen before in the film. Sweet Charity. They are getting too excitable too for me.

Wynne reverted back to comedy for his Charleston. I know it should be reckless and funny as a dance, but I think it was a pastiche. Not his best dance.

Pete, what can we say about Pete and his pink spray on trousers? He send Shirley all of a flutter, again.

JB's Quickstep was light and snappy, and he travelled around the floor with ease. Tasha was dramatic with her Paso, and Jaime threw himself into his Jive. I quite liked him with his quiff, it suited him.

I wonder why Carlos keeps putting himself to the front with Claudia, he has dyed his hair blonde this week.

Once again Dave Arch and his singers were only mentioned at the end of the programme. Not good enough. :-|

I think it may be Wynne and Pete in the dance off. but not sure who will go.

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 17 Nov 2024 10:15

I was finding Carlos aggravating as he seemed to be always in front of the camera. I wonder if they gave him a 'special' part to play as he didn't have a partner?

I enjoyed the show and I do like to see the interaction with other dancers on the floor. I thought Chris coped very well with that. I actually thought Pete's outfit spray on trousers and see through shirt was a bit sleazy but maybe it was meant to be. I think it is time for him to go.
Loved seeing the joy on Jamie's face in the jive and Wynne does comedy well but I think two of the three, Wynne, Pete or Jamie will be in the dance off.
