Cecil Hotel….apparently Shell Mex now stands on the site. Wonderful photo though…think I read it was the largest hotel in Europe :-D |

She also had AVA alongside her name which meant Stepney. She came from the Midlands so I looked in Stepney and hey presto found the children :-D |

That is the code they use....so when you look at the Register you must have seen some letters or codes written alongside the name. They were continually updating it till 1991 so rather than scribbling all over it they just put codes alongside the names when changes were made :-) |
