I think the Boris plan, i.e. voting for Liz Truss knowing she would be useless so that he could then be welcomed back, worked too well. He probably expected her to last about a year. It's a shame he had to cut short his nth holiday this year.

I wonder if Liz changed the wallpaper?

Change the wallpaper Kense? She hardly had time to change her pants!

Boris had no intention of standing this time. Narcissist.

So Sunpat it is then.

Actually, if Sunak gets in, it's quite an affront to the majority of paid-up Conservative Party members.

The last vote was between Sunak and Truss.
The Conservative Party members voted for Truss.
If Sunak gets in, it's a bit of a kick in the teeth - their votes meant nothing.

Surely the kick in the teeth is that the person they voted for made a mess and had to resign so quickly.

Ah, but would they believe that?
They could say she wasn't given a chance.

Sunak is PM as Penny Mordaunt (who?) pulled out before deadline.

I wonder if anyone will get to keep their current jobs.

There's probably a list of those who backed Truss the first time around.

Hopefully Rishi will give jobs to those best suited for them and not to yes men as has happened with the last two PMs.

Well, one of those not getting a job will be that smug dastard, Rees-Mogg cos he’s spit his dummy and walked. Thank goodness for that as I feared I’d do someone or something an injury cos I felt like chucking my shoe every time ‘his smugness’ appeared!
