Dark as coal here and about to throw it down, had to pop to shopping park this morning for a few bits n bobs and pick up prescriptions

I've been to school again listening to children reading and trying to explain words which they can read, but might not understand.

Afternoon all. <3 :-D

It started raining after lunch and it has not stopped. :-0

Been busy baking and looking after Gndson 2’s dog as Dtr had to go darn sarf for a meeting, her OH is at work and Gndson at school. OH doing his voluntary stint so there was just lickle old me.

Not stopped today and I am a tad pooped …. but I made myself an apple pie too and it looks lush. :-D

Lol Ann.
I have to pay attention if they are reading about Greek Gods and Godesses or similar 'cos all those names confuse me.
One of them was reading a version of Twelfth Night today.... in modern language, thank goodness :-D
With another child, I was trying to explain what a quiche is.
He said "Oh, not like an apple pie then?"and we agreed that it wasn't, because a quiche doesn't have a pastry lid.

Apple pie sounds good Joy.
Do you eat it on it's own or with any type of topping ?

Gwyn, depending how I feel, I eat it on its own, with cream or with custard. I’m not fussy. I tried it once with bought Madagascan vanilla custard but that was not to my taste.

Just waiting for dinner to cook and I’m ready for it.
