But surely it uses more energy to get up to temp from cold than if you have it running constantly when it is only switching on and off occasionally :-0

It is a myth that it is cheaper to run your boiler constantly.

Combi boilers don’t hold water in their tank..so mins to heat when turned on..our heating comes straight through when switched on.
