Morning Belle and Von. <3 :-D

Grandson 2 brought down a huge bag of gigantic cooking apples down last night, Guess who has four apple pies in the oven. :-D

Will be making apple sauce later this week but he’ll be over the moon when he gets two of the apple pies as both he and his Dad love them.

Grocery delivery this morning with two huge cartons of Madagascan vanilla custard to save his Mum time.

I’d like to say that one pie will do for dessert tonight and one tomorrow but he’s a growing lad and I think he’ll dive in as soon as he gets in from school. :-D

Fifth jab for me this afternoon.

Afternoon everyone :-)

Not long back from a morning in school listening to readers.
It was good to see them all again. :-D

Very mild, but with showers occasionally. Seems to be brightening though.

Your pies sound great, Joy.
You will be popular.

We attended a funeral yesterday and we didn’t get back till late….Twas a very emotional day for both of us for one reason and another :-(

Needed to go and get a few bits from the shop this morning….no purse :-0 :-0 Have been back to the reception venue….no luck….we have turned the house upside down as well as the car…have spent 2 hours cancelling cards and am still trying to get through to one provider :-0 :-0

The biggest loss are the photos of my parents I kept in there

Me head is throbbing :-0 :-0

So sorry to hear about that you attended a funeral yesterday, Ann <3

It's awful when you loose your purse, Ann :-(. I once had my purse stolen and it was things like photos which were worthless to the thief but priceless to me :-( <3

Afternoon Everyone :-D <3

Well done Joy <3

Ann, hope your purse turns up <3

Well, I got up early this morning, earlier than usual, and set off with a mission.

I had decided to go down to Buckingham Palace, and look at the flowers.

To say the security was tight would be an understatement. The Mall was sealed off. One had to pass through a metal detector arch at Admiralty Arch to get to the Mall. There was no meandering, there was a set path, with barriers all along the road, and only one crossing which was marshalled.

I spoke to two very nice, young policemen, and also two ladies who were very knowledgeable about the Queen's horse Burmese.

I took a few photos along the way, and then went across the Mall into Green Park.

As you have probably seen on the news, the flowers have been removed from their wrappers, and piled against trees. Lots of messages and Paddingtons, and everyone was talking to one another. I had a chat with two lone ladies, who like me, had decided to just get up and come along.

All in all, it was very moving, and I felt better for going. <3
