I’ve just googled tomato flu. Are we living in an alternative world? Only asking cos I am watching series 2 of The Capture! :-0

And, beggar it, I’ve just lost a bit of filling from a tooth and it’s the second in two weeks.

I’ve rung the dentist to be told I was well overdue a check-up. I knew that but I did not think dentists were operating normally yet, says I, as the receptionist’s attitude narked me a bit.

The dental surgery rang during lockdown 2020 so I was actually waiting for a call or text to say all was back to normal because at one stage only emergencies were being treated.

I have a feeling the receptionist thought I never had checks but she only knows me from January 2020 as then was the first appointment with this particular surgery as I had changed dentists after more than thirty years of regular six-monthly checks with the previous surgery.

Anyway they had a cancellation later this week so I shall be there. The dentist I had been assigned to has moved on so yet another new one to see - and changes of dentists was one of the reasons I moved surgeries.

Has anyone else got cheesed off with too many changes of dentists in the one surgery?

I am not best pleased this afternoon! :-|

Joy I share your pain <3

Not literally but I got peed off with new dentists. The more experienced one left although I’m not sure she liked me because I wouldn’t spend money on fancy stuff.

OH phoned to as about results of his blood test only to be told the Dr will call you.
In 4 weeks time :-0 :-0 :-| :-| :-|

The NHS is being slowly eroded away and they think we won’t notice :-( :-( :-(

Getting back to my tea and cake before I fall off my soap box ;-) ;-)

We are living in a world that has gone mad Joy….I simply can not take seriously what any expert says now

Hope you get your tooth sorted <3 <3

Thank you both of you.

Luckily I am not in pain because the teeth where the fillings/part filling fell from must be dead.

Looking at them I think he’ll be able to top up the filling in one but I don’t think he’ll be able to do the same with the other so it won’t surprise me if he leaves it or takes it out. We’ll see.

Four weeks time Von !!! I would join you on your soapbox in a heartbeat.

The NHS was (and still is in some countries) the envy of the world so why don’t our ministers get to grips with it!

My friend of this morning had to take her pooch to the vet as an emergency on Bank Hol Monday. Naturally no vet was working and the message said contact the PDSA in an emergency - so she did. The nearest was ten or so miles away and she had a job finding it but got there in the end. Her dog had a virus (not covid) and was given two injections and was sent away with a solution for the dog to drink every hour so she got no sleep last night.

Total cost was just over £500.

In the case of humans if we had no NHS I can imagine how few could afford that or health insurance.

In any case I have heard of health insurance companies overseas refusing to take responsibility for any payments after a period of two years. No wonder Oz introduced Medicare - and it’s why we need to hold onto the NHS.

Having written that it would not surprise me if MPs were buying into the stock of private health companies in the event of Liz Truss (pal of Jeremy Hunt) getting in!

That’s two years of regular treatment, by the way. Just when you need monetary help if there was no NHS..

Oh Lor its an actual thing!

I thought Ann was cracking a joke. It looks similar to monkeypox apparently.

Joy there is nothing worse than having trouble with the teeth. If you have any kind of pain you just cannot get away from it.

Hi Maddie. <3 :-D

I was gobsmacked when I found tomato flu was a real thing!!! Where are all these things coming from?

I fear the face ache and pain will come when he takes one out because a lot of it went with the filling. :-(

I am hoping the other tooth will just need a little of the filling replaced as most of it is still there.
