The pigeon's identification ring started with FR, which apparently shows it recorded in France.
I have no idea about such matters, but hopefully sent a message to the correct group, after I searched on Google.

Frangipani, Pat - a lovely flower reference indeed, Gwyn. There are a handful of bushes, trees etc in Oz that I miss - Frangipani, Jacaranda eg.

Bird flu hit the lovely Farne islands several weeks ago. Some of them recovered but many dead are being collected. :-(
