After 2 nights and a day of very heavy (at times torrential rain) it seems as though it may brighten up. It's still quite windy but a bit cooler.

There was a sight to behold in our back garden yesterday :-0 ....

I noticed a wet patch on the inside ceiling of our wooden shed yesterday. The felt had got a little bit torn when I felled one of the big elderflower trees, which looked unsafe after the last bout of stormy weather. Part of it nicked the felt and tore it slightly. I covered it in gaffer tape but the split had got bigger.

So up I went on a step ladder in a SHOWER CAP (as I'd just done my hair) :-0 :-D and temporarily tacked a bit of tarpaulin over that part of the roof!!! :-D :-D

Oh well!!! All in a day's silliness :-D

A slight breeze and we had a couple of light showers this morning but it’s a cracking day - cool enough to do some tidying in the garden but warm enough to do it in short sleeves.

A fantastic result at Manchester. You must have heard the four of us laughing and singing our way back on Saturday morning. :-D :-D

Quite breezy this morning with plenty of cloud, but still very warm.

We even had a few spots of rain this afternoon, when I popped out to the postbox...It soon stopped and is brilliant sunshine again now.

Got to go out into the garden and pick up and double wrap 2 dead seagull youngsters found when we returned home :-0
Reported them to DEFRA , but with the extreme temperatures last week, while we were away, the chap on the phone said it could be heat exhaustion rather than the dreaded avian flu. I've got a case number though, if I discover any more.

Von, I’ve watched it this arvo and I did enjoy it. Some glorious colours and lovely wallpapers, I thought.

And now, I’m off to sort out dinner.

Gwyn, good to keep your eyes open. Farne Island birds are dying because of it. :-(
