Thank you Joy<3

Problem obtaining grass skirts no grass here this time of the year :-0

JoyLouise

JoyLouise Report 15 Jul 2022 10:57

Wot; no making hay while the sun shines! ;-)

Parched earth, Pat. I remember living with that for several years. :-(

PatinCyprus

PatinCyprus Report 15 Jul 2022 11:06

Hay collected sometime ago Joy. The waste ground areas of towns and villages have all the weeds and grass chopped down and it soon dries to stubble.

I expect everyone watches out for small ‘grass’ fires Pat. It only takes a piece of broken glass sometimes. We got used to keeping our eyes open before anything spread - but it still happened, almost every summer. :-(

Gnddtr sending me some lovely pics of one of central London gardens this am. <3

Weather and gardens look grand.

Yes Joy, the airfield where the fire planes take off from is near here so most times we are aware of the fire but not where. The helicopters with their buckets slung underneath them is also an indication.

Idiots still throw cigarettes out of their cars though. :-S

Pat enjoy your visit from daughter. Special times <3 <3

Morning Joy :-D <3

My grass isn’t very green but hey ho the moss will grow again. Still lots of little wild flowers struggling to come through though.

There is a fire in Yosemite national park :-(

Morning Fly, Belle and Joy :-D <3 <3 <3

How lovely your daughter can visit Pat <3

London has some beautiful parks Joy. The Italian Garden and the Rose Garden in Regents Park. The Fountains in Kensington Gardens are particular favourites of ours. We have loads of piccies of the kids at those locations.

I was determined to heducate them, doncha know. ;-) ;-)

Morning Von and Maddie. <3 :-D

That could turn nasty quickly Von with the fire jumping across treetops. :-(

Maddie, Gnddtr got dropped off in north London by her partner when he went to work then she walked home (Putney) taking pics as she did so. She, like our Dtr, is keen on photography. <3 <3

Thinking of you all in that heat, at least I have AC. Try and keep cool and out of the sun at least for Mid day.

JoyLouise

JoyLouise Report 15 Jul 2022 19:08

I like it around 30 but any higher, particularly 35 and above, it is indoor weather as far as I am concerned Caroline.

I don’t like the humidity that sometimes comes with higher temps either. Dry heat is easier to withstand, I think.

What kind of heat do you get Caroline?
