The new series, going out in two parts this year (Spring and Autumn 2022) is produced by Voltage TV and Mitre Studios and kicks off next month with three incredible globetrotting DNA stories from Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean, Maureen Lipman and Rula Lenska plus Anne Hegerty and Shaun Wallace whose friendship takes them on a road trip they will never forget.

It was very interesting and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Ann & Shaun are good friends and were genuinely interested in each other's family history.

I wont say what happened yet as don't want to spoil it for those who haven't watched it yet!

I've now watched this episode.
Shaun seemed really interested to know more about his African origins.
There must be so many with DNA roots in the same areas.

Ann gave the impression that her ancestry was already known, or at least hinted at.

I watched it but I have to say I think it fell short of 'Who Do You Think You Are'.

While it was good for Shaun Wallace, it seemed to me that we found out not much about Ann but perhaps she may not have been willing to have too much of her family history made public.

I shall watch the rest of the series though.

I enjoyed both episodes but tend to find them very rushed - if there are 2 people and they want to chat as well it needs to be 90 or 120 mins to get more info over as well as the friends thoughts. Similar to the Ant & Dec one they did a couple of years ago.

Just my personal opinion - I think people would get more out of the programme.

I have to admit i dont remember Rula being on WDYTYA - i will have to look up my files, Thank you.
