We start our Christmas dinners today. Cooked the meat last night. Stuffing balls made, and batter for the puds mixed. Just the veg to peel now, then a glass of sherry I think. :-D :-D

One more prezzie to wrap - it arrived yesterday - then that's it. After I pop a few things across to daughter's, I intend to hunker down this arvo and eat, drink and do precious little else. :-D

Haven't posted much for the last couple of weeks (didn't have much to say, lol) but I have looked in now and again just to see how you are all doing.

It's dull, grey and damp here but I'm not going out so that's o.k. I have just got tonight's meal sorted early, so having a very lazy day from now. Christmas Eve I don't normally cook as we usually meet my son and his 4 X 4 customers at a remote pub on the North York Moors for lunch but because of Covid they are just taking packed lunches and we didn't fancy that!

My lovely Aunt and BFF passed away yesterday afternoon, so we are all trying to keep things upbeat at the moment, her daughters and their families are devastated

Ann, my condolences to all of the family.

My granddtr rang this morning (just as we arrived at dtr’s door) to tell me that her step-grandfather had passed away half an hour before her call.

Not what anyone would wish for - so sad and it seems worse at this time of year, but it’s no worse than any other time.

Keeping things upbeat is the best line of action, I think, Ann, because there’s nothing anyone can do about it. <3 <3

I'm off now, everyone, as dtr and family coming across to eat and make merry with us this evening.

We have just recieved a card from a very good friend, who we had not hear from and were beginning to worry about. Her husband passed away.
Such a sad time for her, but it is never easy.
