Thanks for letting us know how things went Gwyn. I used to love Sharron's posts, she had a way with words! She once visited a WW2 style cafe 17 miles from me and I didn't realise I had been eating a carvery at a pub a couple of miles away at the sme time! The cafe served up things like spam etc, just up Sharron's street to find somewhere a bit quirky. I said if she ever went there again.............but it wasn't to be.

So glad to hear the service was so lovely and well attended despite the awful weather.

Thank you Gwyn both for updating us and for representing us, it was good for one of us to be there. It was not a nice day for that journey and I am glad that you got home safely, good of your daughter to make the effort for you.
I too never met Sharron, and again it was on the cards. she has/had friends or family in a town near me and we planned to meet when she visited, then Brexit happened and she never came this way again to my knowledge. I am sad about that, she was an interesting person and I would have loved to meet her.
