I think I'm just going to c&p a brief weather report :-\

Good afternoon, it is a lovely sunny day here. While out on my walk this morning, I called into the cinema. It is totally run by volunteers. I do lots of the admin and OH is on the board of directors. That sounds posh, but basically he looks after the maintenance of the building. It was a hive of activity because we are allowing the new series of All Creatures Great and Small to do some filming in it. They are currently transforming the exterior to make it look like it was in 1939. They are using the inside as well, so are covering up any of the more modern things such as fire alarms. It is a very old fashioned building, so ideal for their purposes
Apparently in the plot James Herriot takes Helen to the pictures, they see a recruiting newsreel about animals in the war, so James signs up. They will be doing the filming in a couple of weeks, but we will be away then, so will miss it.
They are going to pay us 2.5K for our trouble. As we are still closed to the public at the moment it isn’t actually causing any trouble, but the money is very welcome as we haven’t had any income for such a long time

That’s a bonus Linda. I’ve been watching the original series of All creatures great and small.

Just about to go outside again to boost my immune system. ;-)

Westcountry residents need not worry too much about drought today. On the other hand, Umbrella supplies are are vanishing. ;-)

Washing out here but luckily it's almost dry as I can see dark clouds approaching.

New sideboard in position and everything put into it from the old cupboard. It was delivered just before 8 am on Sunday. When I got the phone call on Saturday saying they'd be here so early I thought they were joking as I knew they were a few hours' drive from here. However, OH and I were up, showered and dressed in time.

I asked what time they'd left - 4 am! I suppose they may be trying to make up for lost time and wages during the lockdown periods.

It was well packaged, still in the original box from the manufacturer so I signed for it unopened (as I wrote on the note) then we sprayed the box and left it until this morning. Perhaps it was a bit unusual for anyone to do that but I've done it before and it's a reputable firm so I felt OK about doing it. They were happy when I spoke with them telling them what I was doing and said to let them know if there was anything wrong or any damage.

Belle, last day for the windows? I hope you're pleased with the finished products.

Linda, it's great to hear about a new series of All Creature as, like Von, I've been watching the original one during lockdown - there were a few episodes I had not seen before too.

I've been watching the old one after seeing the new one - pity about the new Tristan - not quite right. :-(

I watched it first time around and thought I'd not like the new one but it is good other than Tristan - he's not naughty enough.
