Hopefully though that those vaccinated will not have to be hospitalised :-). I thought I read somewhere that vaccination slowed transmission :-)

Fly

Fly Report 10 May 2021 19:46

I thought the same Belle :-(

**Ann**

**Ann** Report 10 May 2021 19:47

It may do Belle but I don’t think they know to what extent..It has not been trialed long enough to give all the answers.

Von

Von Report 10 May 2021 19:47

They can only judge by the Pfizer vaccine so far as it was the first to be used.

Other results aren’t available yet :-(

Von

Von Report 10 May 2021 19:49

Until you can vaccinate a large proportion of the world’s population you haven’t a hope of containing it :-(

PatinCyprus

PatinCyprus Report 10 May 2021 19:51

Trouble is if they'd trialled for a long time millions would have died.

LondonBelle

LondonBelle Report 10 May 2021 19:51

I appreciate that our little Island Is one big guinea pig ..however,.the alternative was to continue as we were, you have to try anything :-)

Fly

Fly Report 10 May 2021 19:51

Some need to get their finger out Von instead of making threats :-)

**Ann**

**Ann** Report 10 May 2021 19:51

I read that all the vaccines don’t come out of trial till 2023? :-(

Back in 1918 people didn't travel the world as they do today and look what it did back then.....gawd help us if we don't do something :-0

**Ann**

**Ann** Report 10 May 2021 19:55

It is not isolated Von :-(

Plus lots of other countries Belle.....but I understand what you are saying <3

Howeer I do not believe the figures here relating to deaths :-(

Von

Von Report 10 May 2021 19:55

We seem to have reached a plateau here of 2000+ Cases every day and don’t seem to get below it except at weekends :-|

LondonBelle

LondonBelle Report 10 May 2021 19:56

So what do we do wait until 2023 :-(

Von

Von Report 10 May 2021 19:56

None of the figures relating to deaths are correct Ann.

**Ann**

**Ann** Report 10 May 2021 19:58

They would have that particular time Belle...troops etc. Perhaps if the war was not ending it maybe would not have been so bad in the second wave :-(
