My grandson rang me Sunday evening and it was what do you want for your birthday

I was I really don’t want anything thank you

So some bantering as we often do and it was left at that

He texted me later and said there’s an Amazon box being delivered tomorrow from us

So 6.30 pm a box was put in the porch and opening it was a big party box of different liquorices in individual packs

Things like the bobbly ones from all sorts .pontefract cakes ,liquorice pipes etc etc

I thanked him by text and said you must have been talking to mum !


Daughter rang last evening as usual and she said yes she told him I,m not really a chocolate person and she and my granddaughter had sent flowers (which are absolutely beautiful,) but I like liquorice so he went onto Amazon for the next day delivery

I am really quite touched because they were down for the funeral of his mother in law <3
