Good to read something from somebody who knows what they are talking about.

I thought both Biden's and Harris's speeches earlier this evening were great!

Conciliatory, pledging to wok for all Americans ................ and calling for the end of demonization of opponents.

I'm hopeful!!!

I'm coming round to the idea that Joe Biden might be a good choice.

He's plenty of experience in navigating Washington politics ............. which are much different than the politics of getting elected

He's a very calm person. negotiates with others (one reason why he's has done well in politics over the last 40 years)

He had 8 years of experience with Obama, who had to work with an opposing Senate.

He just might be what the USA, and especially the rest of the world needs after the last 4 years.

I'm going to be listening with interest in a couple of hours when he is going to "speak to the nation".

It must be very hard on Barron. It is hard enough to be fifteen in the best of circumstance.

Then there's the book and the musical...

Of course she will.

Trump hasn't been up to it for four years but hung on.

I wonder if Melonia will divorce him and sell a few stories....
Will she blow the whistle on his 'covid'

You need lots of rest and Big Macs to generate bullsdoodoos.

It depends what he needs to be 'up to' doing. If all he's going to do is sit around and Tweet, and stuff his face with Big Macs, who knows...

She didn't stand much chance of being voted in herself but he was the ideal vessel.

I think he will.

Is there not a school of thought that Biden will not be up to it and step aside quite quickly?

I see Kanye West only got 60,000 votes. It's a start lad.

Quite possible that she is being groomed for 2024, and this is one way to do it!

I believe there was quite a large group that would have loved to try putting Michel Obama forward, but she most definitely said NEVER!

Sharron

Is it possible that Joe Biden was fielded as a way to slip in Kamala Harris?

He's actually got his son Eric and his lawyer Rudi Guiliano (?sp) doing the suing on his behalf.

He's wanting a recount in Michigan, where Biden won by about 20,000, so he's suing there.

He's suing Pennsylvania to stop the count of mail-in ballots because it's after the election and he says some of those were received after the close of voting on Election Day.

Unfortunately for him, the US has had mail-in ballots for over 100 years, control of all elections and election procedures is up to each individual state (part of the reason for such chaos!!). Pennsylvania is one of the states (and even some counties within other states) that allow mail-in ballots to be counted even if they are not received until several days after the close of in-person voting, so long as they are post-marked before that time.

He's suing two other states because "his people" have been able to get in to watch the counts in any "meaningful" manner.

Meanwhile crowds of his supporters were outside the main counting centre in Phoenix, Arizona, late last night demanding to be let in to watch the counting and waving guns around ............ guns in the open being legal in that state.

We have a close friend living near Phoenix :-(

I saw he wanted to sue somewhere - but then he's threatened to sue so many places and people it gets confusing.

I wonder if he's ever gone through with a sue threat?

Sharron

Sharron Report 4 Nov 2020 22:07

No, but Trump is querying it anyway!

It's a pity Biden did not step aside in favour of someone younger - and it's a pity they did not persuade (or try to persuade?) Andrew Cuomo to stand instead of him. Cuomo would have been a shoo-in, I'm sure.
