I was on phone for ages. :-S

We were in Oz when son hit the age for TB jab and they did not even give them the initial test. Just lined them all up and gVe them the jab. There werw thousands of boat people coming in at the tine so they were taking no chances.

When we came to the UK and dtr reached the age she did not need the jab and it was because she'd a resistance to it - again, I think because of the situation in Oz.

LondonBelle Report 13 Oct 2020 20:05

Did I read something somewhere that if you didn't have underlying health issues that they thought that the degree of seriousness of a person was possibly connected to their genes :-S :-S :-D

no I was with my cousin and grandma quite a bit so I formed antibodies then and it protected me.

The test swells up to a small hard lump and it takes ages to go down and the needle circle marks last months

LondonBelle

LondonBelle Report 13 Oct 2020 20:01

I was just wondering whether if it was in your genes you could have antibodies, Pat :-)

First test at school followed up with another test 6 months later.

third test on going to the WRAF

4th nearly 20 yrs later when OH's aunt got TB and our son had visited her with his grandma
