I believe you an do a fair amount of damage with four 2ps between your fingers.

maggiewinchester Report 6 Oct 2020 23:45

I expect, if the ring 'decorations' were large enough they'd protect your knuckles :-D

Bobtanian Report 6 Oct 2020 19:04

Maggie, I should think that hitting someone while wearing rings on every finger would do your knuckles quite a bit of harm,

that's why 'Dusters are made the way they are!

I have a cane ................. OH has called it my "weapon" since day one.

It's very useful ;-)

Plus, here you can buy replacement tips for winter that have a sharp point on them so that it is safer when walking on ice, or ...................... :-D :-D :-D

I don't know whether you can get those tips in the UK?

A Cane with a blade hidden in it...I see a theme here....

Sharron

Sharron Report 4 Oct 2020 21:32

Yes, occifer, I have this bicycle chain ready for when I get a bicycle. I can only afford to get a bit at a time on my pension.

Next you'll be sewing blades into the peak of your hat :-)

Sharron Report 4 Oct 2020 19:16

Doesn't do the same for your street cred as a knuckleduster though does it?

maggiewinchester

maggiewinchester Report 4 Oct 2020 18:20

I too have quite a quantity of metal knitting needles - usually the thinner ones :-0

SylviaInCanada

SylviaInCanada Report 4 Oct 2020 18:08

There was a time after 9/11 that you were not allowed to take knitting needles or sewing needles (especially tapestry ones) on planes here. You didn't even get through security with them, they were confiscated right away!

I know.

I have several pairs of Mum's knitting needles dating back to the 1920s and 30s. At least one pair of long needles are made of steel. :-D

maggiewinchester

maggiewinchester Report 4 Oct 2020 15:34

Actually, I'm not sure, but I believe a knitting needle can be classed as an offensive weapon.

To be honest, considering some of the stuff I knitted in the past, it could be very offensive! :-D :-D

Sharron Report 4 Oct 2020 15:08

Oh dear no.

Don't want to wear rings, get in my way.

I just like the concept of an old biddy being caught with a knuckleduster.

maggiewinchester

maggiewinchester Report 4 Oct 2020 15:00

Sharron, you could always wear the 'ladies' knuckle duster - a ring (with a suitably sharp decoration - a heart, for example) on each finger :-D

Something like these two 'ethical' rings, for example:

Can you imagine the police discovering that this old bid has a knuckleduster in the bag with the knitting, I always carry a dishcloth in the process of being made, a really dull book about something nobody in their right mind wants to know about and a packet of Murray Mints.
