Now, young Dermot, you know about these things.

ur local Saint is St Richard of Chichester and, because I needed his dates for something else, I looked him up.

Well, for the life of me, I can't see why he was canonized but feel it must have been something political and which I don't yet understand. The nearest he is reported to have performed to a miracle was dropping his chalice and not spilling any wine, which, I might add, is a miracle of which I wholeheartedly approve, but i can't see any other good reason.

Sharron - there are loads of things I have forgotten to remember.

A Saint is someone who has not been researched enough.

For example - 'Knights Templar International' - is it a good or a worrying organisation? :-S

I just thought you might know more about saints than I do,or, indeed, most people on here.

I don't suppose there is anybody who might have quick look at St Richard of Chichester on Google and tell me what you think about it.

Dermot

Dermot Report 6 Aug 2020 15:54

St Dermot (Died ca 542) is also known as ‘Dermot the Just’ (nickname), Diarmis or Diarmaid. He was a native of Connaught in Ireland and possibly of Royal heritage. Begorrah!

St Dermot was an Abbott, preacher & writer, and was the spiritual director to Saint Kiernan of Clonmacnois. He was very cautious about underselling himself online, particularly on any Genes Reunited threads of the time.

Amen!. :-D

What, somebody with very specialist knowledge on everything?

I don't have any specialist knowledge but I had to Google St Richard, the one we were all taught about at school, but not much, evidently.

Go on, somebody have a little Google and tell me what you think.
