Good afternoon peeps.
Well no more dram\s since I posted last. Im seeing the consultant for a check up here on Tuesday and for now do not need to go away for an MRI scan.
There are small changes on the CT but for now unless I take another mini stroke, the drs are happy to leave it which in a way I'm quite pleased about.
Having the MRI wasnt going to be straightforward as I can't lay down.

I managed out walking today for 30 minutes which was great although the last 10 minutes I was limping.

I also received a new appointment for my injections for my Bursitus for Fri 7th Aug. So hosp Tues and Friday next week.

Onwards and upwards as they say.

Good news that you don't need the MRI Florence and also that you managed 30 minutes walking. gently does it and you will gradually build up the time. you sound better in yourself too which is good. Onwards and upwards with baby steps then.

Good evening peeps, well I had my check up today and on the whole, it went well. Dr was pleased that im ok and my swollen feet/ankles are better than before.

But... as always a but they said i had actually had 2 mini strokes in 2 weeks not one so therefore DVLA states I cannot drive for 3 months from the first one.
That means it will be mid October before I can start again. GP signed me off until 4 Sep last week but now not sure what will happen.
As I work in 2 schools far apart and rural, a bus journey is not possible.

So I shall have to speak with personel tomorrow and see what will happen.
From beg of Sep I shall not be in receipt of any wages as been on full pay 6 months and 1/2 pay nearly 6 months.

That is a major worry for me as I only have my part time wages.!

However must be postive and I am feeling a bit better.

Bonus also today was that my other Dr happened to be in the same area in outpatients and did my steroid jags for me into my thighs. That made my day and saved another trip to the hospital on Fri. he also said irrespective what my GP has said, he will do them every 4-5 moths without a problem so that really did make me happy.

So on the whole a good day and hopefully in the next couple of days weather permitting, I shall be able to go out for more exercise failing that, I shall be running up the stairs...lol well not quite running!

Thankyou Ann & Elizabeth.
I actually slept the night last night without waking up at 3am so amazing what a good nights sleep does.

Have been in touch with dept and now waiting for Occupational Health to ring me back.
