If you've got 10 minutes to spare :-D you might like to take a virtual ride on Mail Rail deep beneath the streets of London

Thanks Belle :-D Fascinating, I'll be forwarding it.
I saw a programme about fluffers on the tube after hours - who'd credit it? :-0 :-D

Have you ever been to the Post Office Museum?

Went years ago with the kiddliewinkles. A good afternoon out. Shut at the moment.

Along the road is Postmans Park. Another interesting place to visit.

I've been to Postman's Park ....it is quite petit but has those Victorian memorial glazed plaques of acts of bravery which are very interesting :-)

By the way, I had not heard of fluffers so when I first googled the word ..... OMG, I wondered what everyone down there got up to! :-D :-0 :-D

LondonBelle

LondonBelle Report 21 Apr 2020 10:41

Yes, fluffers has more than one meaning *blushes* :-D

When the gangs clean the tracks.... it's surprising how much human hair they clear away.....if you think though the tube trains push the air through the tunnels at a rate of knots and when they approach a station it's whoosh and your hair goes everywhere...so perhaps not surprising afterall :-D

JoyLouise

JoyLouise Report 21 Apr 2020 10:58

Just can't stop giggling to myself ..... now wondering what others got up to with their 'tickling sticks'. :-0
